Polygon examination
Final check: everything you've learned about networks, protocols, search and security. Quest with test points, test test in test format, and open task. Show that you're ready for the future OGE and EGE!
You've passed four pages of chapter 4:
How networks are made
(4.1),
How data travels
Internet (4.2)
How Effective to Search
Information (4.3) and
How to Protect Yourself
Now it's time to check how well you've learned.
This page is not directly linked to the tasks of the EEG or the EGE, the theme "Internet Networks" in the seventh grade is studied as
School theory
But it will be the foundation for the task.
OGE No. 7

OGE No. 8
9th grade (search requests) and
EEG No. 13

Succession
In the ninth grade, you're going to deepen your knowledge: IP addresses, subnet masks, logical operators in search requests. 11th grade is TCP/IP, DNS, address. Everything you've been studying now is the basis for future exams.

Quest: Network Administrator
Eight situations in the network. For each correct response, the experience points (XP).

Open task
Case: analyze the situation and propose a solution.
Case: "The school site is unavailable"
A seventh grade student is trying to open a school site to an address.
http://school15.edu.ru
Browser shows a mistake: "It was not possible to connect to the server." Other sites (google.com, yandex.ru) open normally. The teacher says the site worked yesterday.
Job:
Describe the diagnostic plan for the problem. What should be checked? What are the possible reasons? What if the site is really unavailable?
Evaluation criteria (maximum 4 points)
1 points - Analysis:
It is indicated that the problem with a specific site (school15.edu.ru) is not with the Internet as a whole (other sites work).
1 - Diagnostics:
Check steps proposed: Whether the server (ping) is available, whether the address has changed, whether DNS is working, or whether other devices have been checked.
1 points - Possible reasons:
The reason given is that the server is off, the IP/dominant has changed, the DNS problem, the site is blocked, the technical works are off.
1 points — Decision:
Actions proposed: go to the system administrator, check the address, try later, use a cached version.

The way to Chapter 5
You've mastered the base, that's what's waiting for you in the next chapter:
The advanced topics of Chapter 5
Chapter 4 gave you the foundation.
Chapter 5
We're going to go into topics that are directly related to the exams:
🔢
Suit yourself.
EGE No. 12 · EEG No. 13
You'll learn to define the network address and the node address by using a random E. Key topic for the exams!
🌐
IP Addresses and CIR Classes
EGE No. 12
Classes A, B, C, D, E. Modern CIDRnotation: /24, /16, /8. How to write masks briefly.
🔒
Designation and SSL/TLS
EEG No. 13
Symmetrical (AES) and asymmetric (RSA) encryption: How HTTPS works, certificates, certification centres.
📡
VPN and firewalls
EEG No. 13
Virtual private networks, traffic filtering rules, attack protection (DDoS, MIT, SQL injections).
💾
Network storage
EEG · EEG
NAS, cloud storage, RAID masses, access protocols: SMB, NFS, FTP, WebDAV.
⚡
Tasks of calculation
EEG No. 11
Data transmission speed: V = q × t. Translation of units, model step-by-step tasks.
Relationship to examinations
Chapter 5 directly prepares for
OGE No. 13
(subset mask, IP address) and
EGE No. 12
We'll take care of it.
50+ Model Tasks
with detailed solutions and interactive trainers.
Preliminary knowledge
Before you start chapter 5, make sure you know for sure:
What is an IP address (Chapter 4.1)
How TCP/IP protocols work (chapter 4.2)
Safety fundamentals: passwords, phishing, 2FA (Chapter 4.4)
If you forget something, come back and say it again!
