Table or base?
A simple table is sufficient for a single set of data. A database is needed when the facts are repeated, linked and should maintain integrity: books and issuances, events and participants, goods and orders.

Training Editor
Open Alterna Office: Data
The editor shows entries, unique keys, selection and sorting. It does not perform SQL and does not replace the DSS.

File format and data model
SQLite
One transferable file with tables, indices and restrictions. Alterna Office retains both study tables and an external key.
Microsoft Access
MDB/ACCDB combines tables and application objects. The editor reads table data but does not follow forms, queries, macros or VBAs.
XLSX and CSV
It is convenient to exchange with Access and tables, but it does not maintain a complete relational pattern and limitations of integrity.
Not Substitution
The format is defined by an internal structure, not by a name. JSON with an extension of .bd is no longer created; the workbase is downloaded as a real SQLite.
