Modelling: types, steps, types of information models
Universal chapter for all subjects and EGE No. 1.
Modelling is the foundation of the scientific method. Any research begins with the construction of an object model. In informatics, models are particularly important -- we work with data, diagrams, programs that are all models of real or abstract systems.

What is modelling?
How we move from a real object to a model -- an interactive scheme.

♪ Why is it in computer science?
The computer doesn't know what building or weather is. It only works with what you can write: numbers, text, diagrams, tables.
Model
So this is a bridge between the real world and the computer, and we take the essential properties of the object and we write them down so that the computer can process -- count, find the pattern, predict.

Links with other chapters
Modelling is based on knowledge from previous chapters -- that's how they're connected.
Chapter 9 Information
Chapter 9 teaches us to highlight the key features of an object -- that's what we do when we build a model.
CHAPTER 10 · Alphavit
The power of the alphabet determines how many different models can be built. The Hartley formula is the basis for calculating the information volume of the model.
CHAPTER 12 Information on volume
How much memory does the model take? The information volume of the table, the graph, or the formula, is given by the formula in Chapter 12.
CHAPTER 15 · Mat. logic
Signal models use logical expressions. Truth tables are models of the behaviour of logical schemes (chapter 16).
CHAPTER 17
Graphic models (schemes, maps, graphs) are the main modelling tool, and chapter 17 teaches how to work with graphs: paths, weights, matrices.
CHAPTER 24 DAG
Targeted acyclic graphs are a model of relationships and sequences.
CHAPTER 22 · Periffery
The input/output devices are also models of human interaction with the computer.
