Sorting, Filters and Charts

Содержание и основные понятия

Sorting changes the order of the lines, but not the composition of the data. The filter temporarily hides lines that are not suitable for the condition. Before sorting, make sure that the entire table is selected: otherwise the fields of the same line can be "distinct".

The diagram answers the question
Don't start with the type of chart. First form the question: comparing categories, observing changes in time, showing parts of the whole or looking for a connection of two numbers? Signatures, units and data source are mandatory.

Verification
Don't cut off the axis of the columnized chart so that the small difference looks huge. Do not add up the fraction if it does not form a whole. The diagram facilitates reading, but does not cancel the table of reference values.
